Compositing Artist

Abyss Digital is looking for a skilled Middle-Senior Compositing Artist to join our compositing team and deliver high-quality shot work on VFX-heavy commercial projects.

You will work under the guidance of the Compositing Lead, executing shots to match the established visual and technical standard — from CG integration and cleanup through to final pixel-perfect delivery.

We are looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a structured pipeline while maintaining the highest visual quality.

We are scaling our Warsaw unit to support growing international demand. This role is an opportunity to work on high-end projects and grow within a fast-moving studio.

Responsibilities

Middle Level - Execute compositing shots to match the reference look and quality standard set by the Art Director & Compositing Lead

Senior Level - Define and develop the compositing look of shots, maintaining visual quality, realism, and consistency across the project.

Integrate CG and FX elements with live-action footage to achieve seamless, photorealistic results

Perform keying, roto, cleanup, paint, and plate preparation tasks

Work with multi-pass CG renders and AOVs to achieve the desired look

Deliver shots on schedule and communicate progress, blockers, and questions clearly

Participate in dailies and incorporate feedback efficiently

Requirements

3+ years experience as a Compositing Artist in VFX, film, or high-end commercial production

Solid working knowledge of Nuke (industry standard required)

Good understanding of compositing pipeline, industry standards, and working with AOVs / multi-pass renders

Strong eye for photorealism, detail, and consistency across shots

Experience compositing complex transitions and seamless shot-to-shot blends

Ability to follow creative direction and replicate the established look accurately

Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset

- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple shots simultaneously

Bonus: Experience or curiosity to explore AI-assisted compositing workflows

Bonus: Familiarity with After Effects or other compositing tools

Bonus: Matte painting or environment extension skills
